Countertop Basins & Bowls
Shop countertop basins at NXT Bathrooms and create a stylish focal point for your bathroom, en-suite or cloakroom. Also known as countertop bowls, wash bowls, vessel basins and sit-on basins, these modern bathroom basins are designed to sit above a vanity unit, worktop or suitable basin surface rather than being recessed into it.
Our countertop basin collection includes round, rectangular and contemporary bowl designs in a range of finishes, including classic white ceramic, stone-effect and marble-effect styles. Whether you prefer a simple round countertop bowl or a more angular rectangular vessel basin, above-counter basins offer a distinctive alternative to a traditional basin and pedestal.
Countertop bowls can work particularly well with bathroom vanity units and worktops, helping create a modern furniture-led bathroom design. Because many countertop basins do not have a tap hole built into the basin itself, they are commonly paired with high rise basin taps positioned alongside the bowl. Always check the basin dimensions, tap arrangement and available worktop space before ordering.
When choosing a countertop basin, consider its width, depth, height and shape as well as the overall height of the furniture beneath it. Round and compact wash bowls can work well in smaller bathrooms, while wider rectangular countertop basins provide a more substantial statement for larger vanity units and worktops.
You will also need a suitable basin waste. Many countertop vessel basins are supplied without an overflow and therefore require an unslotted basin waste, although you should always check the individual product specification before choosing your waste.
Browse countertop basins, wash bowls and vessel basins online at NXT Bathrooms with free local delivery across the North East, collect from our Hartlepool store, or visit our Hartlepool bathroom showroom to compare basins, vanity units and taps in person. Our team can also help plan your complete bathroom with a free home appointment and free 3D bathroom design service.
